KonnectWear is a family wellness companion app for Android phones and Wear OS smartwatches. It lets families and friends track health metrics together through "wellness circles," compete in step challenges, monitor heart rate and vitality, and stay connected through a shared Living Canopy visualization. The app integrates with Android Health Connect to aggregate health data from multiple sources.

You need an Android phone running Android 9 or later. For the full experience, a Wear OS smartwatch (e.g., Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch) is recommended for heart rate monitoring, fall detection, and on-wrist SOS. The phone app works standalone with Health Connect for step tracking and other data.

When you first launch KonnectWear, the app will guide you through granting Health Connect permissions. You'll be asked to allow access to heart rate, steps, sleep, distance, calories, and exercise data. You can modify these permissions at any time in your phone's Settings > Apps > Health Connect > App permissions. On Android 14+, Health Connect is built into the system settings.

To create a circle, go to the Dashboard and tap "Create Circle." Choose a name and type (Family, Friends, or Caregiving). Share the generated invite code with people you want to add. To join an existing circle, tap "Join Circle" and enter the invite code shared with you. Circle types determine the default goals and experience.

Circle members can see your display name, profile photo, vitality score (0-100), vitality status (Thriving, Growing, or Needs Care), daily step count on leaderboards, and any emergency alerts you trigger. They can also see your leaf on the Living Canopy and send you messages. You can disable health sharing in Settings to stop sharing vitality data while remaining in the circle.

No. KonnectWear is a wellness companion app, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Health data comes from consumer-grade sensors and may be inaccurate. Wellness notices are informational observations, not medical alerts. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice and call emergency services in an emergency.

On Wear OS watches, KonnectWear uses the accelerometer to detect sudden impacts followed by stillness, which may indicate a fall. If a potential fall is detected, the watch sends an alert to your circle members. Important: This is not a certified fall detection system. It uses a simple threshold-based algorithm and false positives/negatives will occur. Never rely on this feature as your sole emergency response system.

On the watch app, you can trigger an SOS alert with a single tap. This sends an emergency notification to all members of your wellness circles. Circle members will see the alert on their phones with a timestamp. Remember: SOS alerts are sent to your circle, not to emergency services. Always call 911/112/999 directly in a true emergency. SOS and fall detection features require a FamCare or Elite subscription.

By default, data syncs every 5 minutes via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. You can change this in Settings > Sync Settings. Options include Real-Time (fastest, higher battery usage), Normal (every 5 minutes), Battery Saver (every 15 minutes), or Manual (sync on demand). When your watch is offline, data is queued locally and synced once connectivity is restored.

KonnectWear works with Wear OS 3.0 and later watches, including Samsung Galaxy Watch 4/5/6/7 series, Google Pixel Watch 1/2/3, Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5, and other Wear OS 3+ devices. The watch must be paired with an Android phone that has the KonnectWear phone app installed.

Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. To cancel: Open Google Play Store > tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > KonnectWear > Cancel subscription. You'll retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. You can also manage your subscription from within the KonnectWear app under Settings > Subscription.

If you downgrade or cancel, you'll keep paid features until the billing period ends. After that, your account reverts to the lower plan's limits. If you exceed the new plan's circle or member limits, your existing circles remain but you won't be able to create new ones until you're within the limits. Your health data and history are preserved.

Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit using Google Cloud Firestore. Only you can access your personal health data — circle members only see your vitality score and daily steps, not raw health readings. We use Firebase App Check to verify requests come from genuine app installations. Local data on your device is stored with Android DataStore encryption. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You can delete your account from within the app (Settings > Profile > Delete Account) or by visiting our Account Deletion page. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, health data, circle memberships, and all associated data. Remember to cancel any active subscriptions through Google Play separately.
